The original downloaded files and their embedded metadata are preserved. At display time, LTCT applies cropping, background masking, scaling, illustrative motion and lighting. These displayed adaptations do not record the animals' original motion, illumination or capture depth. The simulation combines different observations, locations and specimen photographs in an educational sequence; the on-screen depths are modeled scene positions.
